1. Who we are

This policy describes how Divergeix Worldwide Private Limited (“Divergeix”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Divergeix Email Analyzer Chrome Extension and related services.

2. What data we collect

We deliberately minimise what we collect. The following table lists every category:

3. What we do NOT collect

Your Gmail password or Google credentials
Any email content from threads you did not click Analyze / Reply on
Your attachments
Your browsing history outside of Gmail
Your IP address beyond temporary rate-limiting (not linked to your identity)
Any card / UPI / banking information (Razorpay handles this end-to-end)

4. How we use the data

Operating the service — authenticating you, enforcing plan limits, returning analyses and replies, billing you correctly
Account recovery — if you reinstall and your Chrome profile email matches a paid account, we restore your plan automatically
Support — responding to issues you email us about
Legal compliance — GST invoicing, tax records, responding to lawful government requests
Improving the product — aggregated, non-identifiable usage metrics (e.g. "how many users used Pro this month"). We do not train AI models on your emails.

5. Categories of third parties we share data with

We name Razorpay explicitly because you will see their name on your bank/card statement and invoice. The AI model and cloud hosting providers are disclosed by category only; we may change providers over time without further notice to you, provided any new provider offers an equivalent level of protection.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with ad networks. We do not use it for purposes unrelated to the functioning of the service you paid for.

6. Where your data is stored

Primary servers and databases are hosted with our cloud hosting provider in the India region. AI processing takes place in the United States at our model provider. Payment data is stored by Razorpay in India.

7. How long we keep data

Email thread content you analyse: processed in memory, not persisted. Gone within seconds.
User record (ID, email, plan, usage): retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we retain it for up to 8 years purely to comply with Section 128 of the Companies Act 2013 and the Income Tax Act 1961 (record-keeping), then delete.
Payment / invoice records: 8 years (Income Tax Act requirement).
Server logs: 30 days.
Local browser data: until you uninstall the extension or clear your Chrome data — we have no control over this.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

Access — see what personal data we hold about you. Use the extension's /api/mydata endpoint or email us.
Correction — correct any inaccurate data (e.g. change the email linked to your account).
Erasure — delete all personal data we hold. Use the /api/mydata DELETE endpoint or email us. Note: we retain billing records for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.
Grievance redressal — escalate any privacy complaint to our Grievance Officer (see below). We respond within 30 days.
Withdraw consent — you can uninstall the extension at any time; this revokes our access to future Gmail content.

9. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher
We don't use passwords, so none can be leaked
Payment data is PCI-DSS handled by Razorpay
Access to the production database is restricted and logged
Database storage is encrypted at rest

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a personal-data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India without undue delay, as required by the DPDP Act 2023.

10. Cookies and tracking

We do not set cookies. We do not run analytics scripts. The Chrome extension uses chrome.storage (a browser-local storage mechanism) to remember your preferences — this is not a cookie and is never transmitted to us.

11. Children

Our service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or to law. Material changes will be announced to users at least 15 days before they take effect, via the extension panel or the email address linked to your account.
